2002 ford explorer died?

On a hot day with AC running on high my 4.6L V6 Explorer died at a stop light. Won't turn over but had battery to run lights, radio, etc. Can't jump start it with another vehicle. No check engine light. Has had history of hard-starting but never this. Full tank of fuel but don't really think its a fuel pump problem at all as it won't even try to turn over. Is this possibly a coil pack problem or what?
