Car troubles dead battery?

okay so i recently bought a new battery, my car wouldnt stay running unless i had my phone on the gas and still has the same problem, but now my car will not start at all, no radio, no lights, nothing, my flashers wont even work, and i have to jump it off for it to start,do you think it could be a bad connection ?
