Why do you think the media degrades women?

Follow the money. If it didn't sell, they wouldn't do it. In a country where most parents are uptight about sex and either teach or give the impression to their kids that sex is wrong, more kids are going to want to push the boundaries. In countries where sex and nudity are considered normal and treated casually, you don't find as much of this. The truth is men are much more intrigued by mystery than by blatant sexuality. Kids are trying too hard to be "grown up", to be wanted, loved and accepted but sadly, they don't really understand what they are doing is showing how desperate and ignorant they really are. Childhood and young adulthood are such a fleeting time, it's too bad more young people can't just enjoy it and let life unfold at it's natural rate. The media gives us the message that to be attractive and wanted we have to be sexy and dress like people who work in the sex trade. In reality we are just making others think we are cheap and do not value ourselves and we are often treated accordingly. Good luck.
